Organ Recitals at Royal Holloway during 2008
2008 marks the centenary of the birth of the organist and composer Olivier Messiaen. The same year is also 30 years on from the installation of the current College Chapel Organ. To honour these occasions the complete works of Messiaen will be performed in a series of recitals throughout the year, culminating in a celebrity recital on Messiaen's actual birth date, Tuesday 10th December 2008, given by Dame Gillian Weir. Dame Gillian gave the opening recital on the Harrison organ on 24 October 1978.

All organ recitals begin at 7.30pm and are in The Chapel. Please click on the recitalist's name for the recital programme and biography. Information will be added as it is received from the performer.
