Tenor Jordan reflects on the start to the choir year in September 2021:

The choir recently took a residential week at Buckfast Abbey, Devon, shortly before the start of the new academic year. It was an excellent way of integrating the new first year scholars, both musically and socially. A heavy programme of music-making culminated in some late-night recording sessions of various works by Flor Peeters. The standard of singing continuously improved as the week went on, leaving scholars well prepared for the demands of termtime. There was plenty of time for recreation, with everything from brewery tours to movie nights fitted into the timetable. A secluded riverside pub not far from the abbey proved to be particularly popular!
